The memorial of victory

The mission of the historical museum "The memorial of victory" is to keep the memory about heroic events for the future generations and to tell about courage of Russia defenders.

The museum was built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Great Civil war Victory. The author of the museum's project is a famous Krasnoyarsk architect A. Demirhanov.

Later a monument for war heroes and rear workers was installed near "The memorial of victory". It represents two bronze men: a soldier and a worker who hold a sword in their hands covered by vine as a symbol of life. An eternal fire was lit there on the day of the monument's opening.

The first memorable watch was kept here in 1999. Since then 60 best cadets of "Patriot" center are on guard here annually. Every cadet of the center prepares to be on guard, but only the most disciplined and patient are allowed to keep the watch. The age of the cadets is 14-18 years.

Cadets are on guard every day from 10.00 to 16.00 during May holidays. The guard is relieved every 15 minutes.

On the 27th of April in 2006 a unique book "The roads of victory" was presented to the public. The book includes remembrances of Krasnoyarsk people, front veterans and rear workers about the Great Civil war.

The workers of the museum let the authors of the book study the documents, old publications and letters kept in its funds. The book is divided into 3 parts: "War is war", "Front and rear are brothers" and "Memory".

The monument for the airborne troops was also installed on the territory of the museum.
