Seventeen life size elk sculptures appeared in Moscow parks yesterday. This is a special way ecologists have chosen to draw public's attention to environmental problems. Monuments cost the city about two million rubles. 
      Unusual art objects have been placed in four capital's parks: natural reserves “Setun's river valley” and “Vorobyevy Gory”, landscape reserve “Troparevo” and natural-historical park “Moscvoretsky”.
      Ecologists explain that it has been done for people to understand that they are in a reserve area and there is no need to fear animals living here. Wild animals are now leaving sanctuaries of Moscow and Moscow region and it is important to create right attitude in the society to bring them back. Many people have never seen elks before and that is why sculptures are made in full size.
      Monuments are created from environmentally friendly materials: foam plastic is the basis of the sculptures. It doesn't emit harmful substances and is absolutely safe for environment.
