New ethnographic complex will appear in Russia in 2012: the Buryat tourist village is planned to be built near the settlement Ust-Ordynsky, 60 kilometres from Irkutsk. The settlement is situated on Kachugsky road, which is used by thousands of tourists travelling to Lake Baikal.
Guests, staying in Buryat yurts, will be able to take part in national festivities and even to shear sheep and to milk a cow.
To find out more about ethnographic traditions of the Buryats, visitors will be invited to participate in shamanistic rituals and dancing, to listen to local songs and throat singing and to travel to a sacred mountain Manhay, where ancient petroglyphs are preserved.
