Moscow is to release a universal travel card

Moscow authorities, together with private investors, consider a possibility of creating a universal travel card on the model of large European metropolitan cities. Within the framework of the project, the system of St. Petersburg is taken as the basis, where such a card has already been released and used by many travellers.

Traditionally, there are two types of universal cards released for travellers: the first type gives discount for different services, the second type is usually used as a public transport card, which you can also use to enter museums and join city-tours. However, this project is only being discussed, as stated Sergey Shpilko, the head of Moscow tourism and hotel industry committee.

The tour operators, which work with Russian and foreign travellers, are also interested in realization of this project. This opportunity will be interesting both for individual travellers and for groups, because in group tours there are also days when travellers can join excursions themselves.
