Trans-Siberian Railway

The Transsiberian railway or The great Siberian way (the historical name) is a perfectly equipped railroad which crosses the whole continent connecting the European part of Russia and its biggest industrial regions with Siberia and the Far East. This railroad makes Russia a united economic territory.

Nowadays the starting point of the legendary railroad is Yaroslavsky railway station in Moscow and final destination is Vladivostok railway station.

The Transsiberian railroad crosses 14 districts, 3 regions, 2 republics, 1 autonomous district, 1 autonomous region and 16 big rivers of the Russian Federation. There are 87 cities situated along the way. The Transsiberian railway is of 9288km long; it’s the longest railway in the world. The one who undertakes the trip along the its way will necessarily observe all the beauty and charm of Russian nature and culture.

Krasnoyarsk city is situated on the 4098 km of the Transsiberian railway.

The Transsiberian railway (its length is more than 9000 km) is included in "The Atlas of World's Wonders. Oustanding Architectural Constructions and Monuments of All Times and Peoples", issued in 1991 in the USA. The Kremlin and Petrodvorets are also mentioned in the section "Russia". Russia has surprised the world with separate constructions on a railway, including Krasnoyarsk railway bridge over Yenisey.
