Arrival to Krasnoyarsk railway station.

The day begins with Krasnoyarsk city tour visiting of all basic sights: the monument to Andrey Dubensky, the founder of the city, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view; Karaulnaya Hill where Paraskeva Pjatnitsa chapel (1855) is located; Annunciation temple, Intercession cathedral and Catholic church in the program. During the excursion you’ll see Mira Avenue, Drama Theatre, Opera and Ballet House, Yenisei quay.

The bus stops at an Egypt building of Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum where we will spend 2 next hours. This Museum located in the very city center, on the quay, it is considered to be the best Russian provincial Regional Ethnographic Museum (Siberian indigenous people, first Russians in Siberia, Siberian merchants, Tunguska explosion, Orthodox icons, items from Soviet Russia).

The next point of the excursion is nature reserve Stolby. Going uphill by bus, short stroll to a forest hut and you are in the heart of the reserve. By your wish we can organize a picnic. Walking around the central group of rocks accompanied by an experienced guide. According to the results of the TV survey managed in 1980th, the reserve was considered to be “the 8th Wonders of the World”, more exciting than such natural and architectural masterpieces as Kizhi, Baikal Lake, Golden Ring and Suzdal’s palace. It was founded in 1925 and now it is the main sight of Krasnoyarsk – the great natural stone work.

Further we are going to Krasnoyarsk surroundings. This is an excursion for those who want to see all the best sights of our city in one time. You will have a golden opportunity to go by the picturesque forest road to Krasnoyarsk Hydro Power Station built in 1972, then visit an observation place Tsar Fish, where you can enjoy picturesque scenes of the city and Yenisei river. Our guides will not stop telling you interesting legends about a powerful king Yenisei and his daughters, because a lot of different peoples have inhabited the region and they all have created their own legends and stories about splendid Yenisei. According to the legends of primordial inhabitants of the Yenisei region, the mainriver of Siberia – Yenisei - is a reflection of the Milky Way to the ground. Being one of the longest rivers not only in Russia but in the world (4092 km length), it is longer than a distance from London to Moscow.

Whoever comes to Krasnoyarsk, either Russians or foreigners, everybody is impressed by the powerful Yenisei and the boundless taiga, near the very city. The group enjoys the majestic river, on the banks of which ancient Siberian villages and unique natural monuments are located.

The way ends in Divnogorsk which was just the camp of the builders of the Hydro Power station in 1957. It took its name after the mountains situated around the city.

Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station takes the second place among all hydroelectric power stations in Russia. Its power is 6000 megawatt. The new technology of high concrete dams' construction, temperature regulation of a dam, blocking a big river during severe winter and many other innovations of Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station allowed to build a safe construction which has become the energetic heart of Siberia.
