Even confirmed skeptics cannot stand the charm of the museum staff. Of course, the main accent has been made here not on the Lenin's exile, though, of course tourists are shown the two houses where Lenin lived - first alone, then with Nadezhda Konstantinovna. And we need to say, that even Russians view them with curiosity, not even saying about foreigners. But the main idea of the excursion - original Siberian traditions and domestic life, family way of life, crafts. And since all is created not formally, but with the soul, sincerely and funny, guests get free and directly take parting the performance. Tourists walk together along the village street, inviting the "neighbors" for the evening sittings - "vechorka". On the way they become the "unintentional" witnesses of the family scene - a young wife wants to go for a walk, an old husband doesn't let her go. In a "tavern" guests are offered honey drink, vodka and pickles, and then in one of the yards games, dances, songs and rites start. At parting - tea drinking in a Siberian izba with traditional bird cherry pie cooked in an oven.
The population of Shusheskoye is 19 thousand people, and annually up to 200 thousand tourists come here. The museum works the round year without a break and days off. The reserve staff counts 150 people, at that not only scientific workers take part in the performances, but cashiers, drivers, firemen, etc. Also they sing in the folklore ensemble, though under direction of the professional musician. National dresses are sued here, in the workshop of the museum. Earthenware mugs, in which guests are offered tea, are made in the "village" potter's workshop, locally made carved wooden products are sold in the souvenir shops. Shusheskoye students have classes in the museum workshops, they are taught secrets of the Siberian national crafts, and their works are also sold as souvenirs. As it turned out later, the very first excursion to Shusheskoye set the pitch of our journey. We switched off our problems, forgot about the civilization and completely were absorbed to the mystery of the South Siberia.
