In summer 2002 I traveled 10 days around Siberia on a tour “The Great Sayan Ring”, which starts in the town of Krasnoyarsk, comes through two republics – Tuva, the center of Asia, and Khakasia. This was quite an exotic and impressive tour. We visited Siberian villages, ancient historical places, amazing burial mounds, and the shaman clinic. Wу slept in jurts – the national nomads’ dwellings, listened to the throat singing… I was impressed with the variety of landscapes, changing from the deep taiga – often with amazingly beautiful flowers – till the high mountain, leaping to the boundless steppes, enticing jumping on a horse and just riding till Mongolia, that is on the other side of the border…
