Chulchinsky Waterfall (Uchar)

This waterfall was open some years ago. It is the largest cascade of Altai. The height of fall is more than 160 m.

The waterfall was formed 100-150 years ago as a result of mountain collapse, which blocked the Chulcha River. Though, it didn’t stop the current and now the waterfall slides down from a large hill.

Chulchinsky Waterfall is a favourite place for those who like walking mountain tours. It provides the beginners with the possibility to climb the rock cliffs without any safety equipment.
