Maly and Bolshoy Kyzykul lakes (Beautiful lakes in Turk language) are situated in Minusinsk basin, near the foot of Taraski mountain range. They are connected with a small river Kyzykulka. The lakes are the favorite place for rest of local people and tourists.
More than 35 years ago the Siberian archaeological expedition of Leningrad's Pioneer palace found a Paleolithic site on the south-eastern shore of the lake Maly Kyzykul, not far from the village Inya in Krasnoyarsk region.
During the archaeological dig the specialists found the remnants of a log construction and ceramics of Okunevskaya culture which dated back to the Bronze Age. The Neolithic culture is also represented by ceramics.
