The neighborhood of the Novoselovo village is a mecca for those who like ethnographic researches and a water recreation. Numerous archaeological monuments (such as pisanitsa “Novoselovskaya”, “The large cape”, “The lighthouse”; Tashtykskie settlement places of ancient people; the barrows- burial grounds; a memorable sign “Pallasovo iron”) and an azure coast of the man-made Krasnoyarsk sea with shining pines of the mysterious Anashensky pine forest attract to the fertile novoselovskaya soil not only region inhabitants .

Rich arable lands are protected with mountains from all the sides. Since the XIX century Novoselovo has been developing as a large center of panification, an animal husbandry and trade. Today there is a big bread-baking complex in the Novoselovo.

The ancient Novoselovo village has a complicated history. The first settlements on the Novoselovo territory appeared in 1744, at the moment of strengthening of Russian power in the south of the Pryeniseysky region and they represented on the small wooden constructions built by field men. The calmness of the population was supported by the Cossack garrison of the Guard jail which was based in 1675 (it got name Karaulnoe and later disappeared under the Krasnoyarsk reservoir waters). The village was founded in 1789 and in 7 years numbered 126 yards and 650 inhabitants. On the 4th of April in 1924 the Novoselovsky district became a part of the Novoselovsky region. During the construction of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station 4200 hectares of the territory (including the Novoselovo and other places - all in all 30 settlements) were flooded with the Krasnoyarsk reservoir waters .The population number has been decreased at the expense of moving of many people to other lands (now in the Novoselovo there are more than 7 thousand people (1995). The village was carried, built up and declared to be a settlement of the city type (1962) and in a critical 1991 was transformed again into a rural settlement.

Numerous sights of the Novoselovo found their reflection in the most interesting expositions of the regional museum.
