Krasnoyarsk is a rich and wonderful region, it has all its own, and even the sea! Krasnoyarsk basin is called in this way because of its enormous size: length 388 km, surface area is 2000 km2, total volume is 73,3 km3. A huge reservoir of clear and fresh water filled up in 1960-1970 is situated on the Yenisei beyond the dam of hydro power station in Divnogorsk town.
In consequence of making Krasnoyarsk basin hydrography of this area has been changed, many rivers and brooks were flooded to 100 meters, and confluences became meandering bays. In valleys of the Yenisei tributaries - Derbina, Sisim, Erba, Syda, Tuba and others deep wide creeks were formed. After the dam had been built spacious areas were flooded by raising water in the Yenisei. Fertile fields, spacious pastures, islands rich in resources – all these were under water.
The banks are mostly flat and steep; here and there they are rocky, formed with sandstones and limestones.  There are many quite flat areas where disembarkation is more comfortable. In such places quays are usually disposed. The line of the right bank is cut stronger than the line of the left bank. The right bankabounds with numerous small creeks, and also relatively large creeks can be distinguished – Anash, Koma, Ubei, which are the flooded mouths of rivers, flowed into the Yenisei earlier, and flow into the dam now. 
The largest creek of the left bank is Izhul, where the border of Novoselovo and Balakhta areas goes. The bottom of the basin is formed with gravel, partly covered with silt. A huge amount of water in the basin accumulates a large supply of heat during the summer. When it becomes colder the water is getting cooler slowly and becoming frozen much later than in other reservoirs.  Usually ice on “the sea” is formed after a couple of frosty days the other half of December, and in a week transport traffic on natural bridge is open. In the midwinter the thickness of ice can reach to 1 m and more depending on temperature. At the end of April or in May the basin is free of ice. The recharge of the basin is available at the expense of precipitations, ground water and rivers.
Caves gaping in riverside rocks of the basin are not less unique: whimsical stony labyrinths of Biryusa caves strike with their passages. The length of cavities can reach 6 km, where there are fabulous grottos, mysterious systems of galleries and passages. Someone who has ever been in these caves will remember luminescent stalactites, cascades of cave’s lakes and attractive darkness.
Water surface of the sea saw a lot of yachts, water bikes, boats, catamarans and kayaks, water skiing, banana riders, water tubes Regatta and rowing on the basin depend on the strength of the wind or physical training. In the winter Krasnoyarsk sea is a great place for skating. Ichthyofauna of the basin is attractive for fishermen.
Near Krasnoyarsk sea there are many camps like “Listvyanka”, “Brigantina”, “Nadezhda”, which offer their visitors tourist service of various kinds. Here you can just spend time in the country, do sport (play volleyball, badminton or go swimming), go for a picnic, take part in entertainment programs.
It is possible for romantic people to leave for a little voyage for 2 days by the “Krasmashevets” or  ”Chaika”, comfortable ships, which are the ideal for boat tour.
