The building of the new architectural-ethnographical tourist complex has started in 135 km near Irkutsk (Russia). It will be the second open air museum near Baikal.
The name of the museum is “The Milky Way” and it recreates an ancient way of life of the Baikal area native peoples. Complex will consist of many different objects like a unique genuine exhibit – a traditional Buryat yurt (house) which was found in a small village near Baikal. Tourists will also have an opportunity to see a real Buryat winter house which will be brought from another village with a granary and a farm-yard.
The first stage of this project – a building of a Buryat estate is planning to be finished by the 14th of October which is the Irkutsk’s birthday anniversary.
