Visit of the Prime Minister in the reserve, located in southern Siberia in the homonymous valley near a salt lake Ubsu-Nur, held in September, but the photos have appeared in the media only recently. The official website of the Prime Minister published a series of photographs at October 30.

On photo shoots you can see that, in addition to studying leopards, Prime Minister also go fishing in protected waters and pose, sitting in a khaki jacket and dark glasses on horseback, standing beside her and holding his gun, smartly curled over his shoulder.

Prime Minister was in Tuva with Deputy Prime Minister, Head of Government Staff Sergei Sobyanin, currently the mayor of Moscow. This is the fourth visit by Vladimir Putin to the republic in the heart of Asia. Recall, that a photo shoot on a visit to Tuva in 2007 together with Prince of Monaco Albert II, also caused a resonance in the foreign media.

Ubsunur Valley, which was visited by Putin, is one of the most unique places in Asia, where nature has created a "parade of landscapes." The reserve is represented by a unique range of ecosystems - from mountain tundra to deserts. In 1997 the reserve was given the status of biosphere. It is currently anticipated the inclusion of "Ubsunur Valley" in UNESCO World Heritage List.

To preserve and to study Ubsunur Valley in 1992 in Kyzyl was founded Ubsunur International Biosphere Research Center under the auspices of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences and the Government of Tuva Republic.
