A book "The mysteries of Baikal waters" has been published in Zabaikalsky region, Russia.

The author of the book Alexei Tivanenko, a PhD and a hydronaut-researcher,  shares his knowledge and impressions about quest of historical artifacts on the bottom of the lake, animals and plants dwelling on the very depths and geological wonders of Baikal.

The book is illustrated by pictures taken by cameras of "Mir-1" and "Mir-2" deep diving submarines during their scientific campaign. In the pictures one can see oil streams running from the deep like a fountain, deep underwater volcanoes formation, deep-water creatures, wrecking of the famous gold echelon of admiral Kolchak and many many more.

The circulation of the book is 1000 copies some of which have already been presented to Russian prime-minister Vladimir Putin, writer Valentin Rasputin, arctic researcher Artur Chilingarov and other well-known people.
