While exchange rest enjoys popularity in Europe Altai masters countryside tourism. The official regional web site reports on the project carried out by a local newspaper ‘Zmeigorsky vestnik’ within the departmental program of ‘Developing countryside tourism in Altai Region’ in 2009-2012.

The projects gives every one an opportunity to become a hospitable host, turning one’s house to a so called ‘Green House’ – a little inn for city guests. The newspaper crew will provide all the needed informational support.

‘We want to help all volunteers to master a new business – countryside tourism. And what is more to find a life-time occupation. Apart from ‘A trip ticket to a  garden-bed’ we together with public organizations and authorities plan to make a map of all the places of interest with their infrastructure and ‘Green Houses’ to expose it in the Internet. They will see what we have and come to us. All in all we open the doors to everyone interested in countryside tourism’ – says the editor of ‘Zmeigorsky vestnik’ Ludmila Kaybol.
