China has announced the introduction of a visa-free regime for Russians, the country's Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a briefing. But the conditions for Russians to enter China are as follows:

• the visa-free regime comes into force on September 15;

• the regime is a trial period and will be valid for a year, until September 14, 2026;

• Russians only need a valid passport to travel;

• entry without visa is possible "for business, tourism, excursion purposes, to visit relatives and friends, or as a part of an exchange";

• the period of stay in China for Russians without a visa is up to 30 days.
