The visit of French specialists to the Baikal Nature Reserve has resulted in the agreement between foreign experts and the administration of the reserve. According to it, the French will carry out the part of works on the design of museum expositions and natural routes.

The main destinations in the Baikal Nature Reserve will be the history of the Baikal region and the natural resources of lakeside territory.

The construction of the museum complex in the abandoned port of imperial times "Tankhoy" will begin this year. The amount of 60 million roubles was allocated for the project.

The Baikal Nature Reserve occupies the central part of the Chamar-Daban mountain range, along the southern coast of Lake Baikal. The area of this nature reserve is 165,700 hectares.
