“Aeroflot” and “Japan Airlines” (JAL) company from Japan has signed a memorandum of understanding that should represent the first step towards cooperation between the two air carriers. After 2018 the parties intend to conclude a code-sharing agreement (joint operation of flights) on the air route between Moscow and Tokyo.
It will also be efficient on the domestic lines of the Russian Federation and Japan and on international flights of JAL. In addition, carriers intend to jointly solve the problems on granting privileges to frequent flyers, basing of planes at airports of Moscow and Tokyo; they’ll also consider the possibility of signing a strategic partnership agreement in the future.
