Comfortable airports for light aircraft will be created in the Altai region, – the PR-service of the Altai forest department says. This project of modernization of light aircraft is supported by the authorities of the region.

The light aircraft becomes more and more popular. Business and tourism development is impossible without development of infrastructure and thus of local airlines. People from all over the world visit the Altai region and they are very much in need of air trasportation service. Well-developped local airnet will attract more tourists and give a new strong impulse to overall economical and social improvement in Altai.

Air forest protection organization “Altai” began to work last year. Now it posses two planes AH2 and three helicopters R44 (Robinson). The Forest department decided to build new air bases and to reconstruct the existing ones.

According to the Forest department's project there will be four heliport decks in the region. One of them –in Pavlovsk’s district-has already been put into operation. Before the year is out the second heliport deck will be opened in Belokurikha.
