Krasnoyarsk airport ‘Yemelyanovo’ became the winner in one of the nominations in ‘The best airport of the year’ contest

According to the results of the annual contest ‘The best airport of the year among CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries’ in 2011, which became known in Moscow, international airport ‘Yemelyanovo’ is the winner in the nomination ‘The most dynamically developing airport’.

For ‘Yemelyanovo’ airport, the year 2011 became the breakthrough of the year. The airport offered its services for over than 1.6 million passengers. The number of international flights increased: now there are straight flights to Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Sanya, Phuket, Goa, Barcelona, Larnaca, Heraklion, Dubai, Harbin, Cam Ranh, Bali. What is more, in 2011 the airport started creating a project for a new passenger terminal, in the framework of the development plan till 2030, desinged by German company ‘Hochtief’. All these facts of stability and active development were highly appraised by the expert committee of the prestige contest.
