The key characteristic of the new standard is the dispensing of the first bag in 12 minutes (and last bag in 20 minutes) after the plane approached the special parking lot. This standard will spread to all passengers of the flights served directly by Sheremetyevo International Airport. Earlier this standard was available only for passengers of Air France and KLM airline companies.

Sheremetyevo Airport has improved the system of luggage processing and became the first airport in Russia which has introduced a technology of informing the passengers about the exact time of luggage delivery. The exact time of luggage appearing on the carousels will appear on special screens located in a luggage claim zone.

To introduce a new standard, airport has purchased new modern equipment. In 2011 new passenger steps, bin loaders, electric tractors, self-propelled conveyers and baggage carts were put to use.
