20 deputies from near-border mongolian aimak are visiting Tuva these days to share experience, to learn how Tuvinian administration managed to hold a "Year of tourism in Tuva". Delegates say, that such an event can stimulate the development of tourism in this region. In fact, they believe that as these two regions (Tuva and Mongolia) are quite similar, the same activities as Tuva has implemented will bring more tourist to this steppe region of Mongolia.
Aimak's administration is expecting to get an investment from Mongolian government to hold a "Year of tourism" and they will spend these money primarily on development of infrastructure: roads reconstructing, installing lighting in the aimak. Also Mongolians are very interested in developing near-border trade with Tuva.
The question of visa regime cancellation has also been rised. These and other questions will be discussed in next few days during which the Mongolian delegation will have an excursion in Kyzyl, visit some Tuvinian factories and take part in some sports events organized particularly for them.
