On  the 20^th of February in Vladivostok there was discussed a project on starting up an international non-stop train from Vladivostok to Suifenhe, as reported by the press service of the region’s administration. According to Pavel Popov, the vice-governor of the region, Primorsky region is absolutely ready to open this route. Sun Minven, the head of foreign affairs of Heilongjiang province pointed out that Chinese part is also interested in the project, at present technical issues are being dealt with. According to Sun Minven, one more attractive route for China is Vladivostok – Grodekovo – Harbin.

The project on starting up the international non-stop train Vladivostok – Suifenhe was developed by ‘International express’ company with the assistance of the administration of Primorsky region and the management of JSC ‘Russian Railway’. When passing the state border of Russian Federation, a new scheme will be applied. The procedure of customs and border control in train carriages will allow improving the level of tourist service.
