The flight Barnaul – Dusseldorf has been opened in June.
The “Orenburg Airlines” started flights from the capitol of Altai region to Germany on Boeing-737-800. The Dusseldorf airport allows passengers that don’t have a Shengen visa to fly from Russia to the USA and Canada without leaving the transit zone of the airport.
There were no air service between Altai region and Germany from 2006.
