Airport’s spokesmen say that the Open Skies regime will let the airport to increase a transit tourists flow to 5mln people a year. Seoul airport which is located just 600km far from Vladivostok together with launching the Open Skies regime has also increased a tourists flow from 18mln to 36mln people, and a number of transit passengers has increased from 5mln to 28mln people.

As of now, any foreign air-carrier is free to fly to Vladivostok irrespectively of their country’s agreement on the terms of air-travel to Russia. The Open Skies regime makes it possible for air-carriers to disembark and/or take aboard passengers during stopovers.
