The parade of old ships and other events dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Russian statehood will be held in Veliky Novgorod on September 21-23, 2012.

The celebration program includes theatre performances near the ancient Novgorod Kremlin, historical reconstruction, festival of folk art and other interesting events. This was announced by the Governor of the Novgorod region Sergey Mitin.

As Interfax reports, guests will see the unique international parade of ancient ships, an exhibition of handicrafts, festival of medieval craftsmanship, as well as festival of brass music orchestras.
