The World Tourism Day is on 27 September. The World Tourism Organization initiated this holyday in 1979. In Russia this day started being celebrated loudly since 2002 when there appeared National Tourism Award of Y. Senkevich. The major awardees in 18 nominations are chosen by authoritative jury.

This year ceremony took place on 24 of September in Big Petrovsky Hall of ‘President’s Hotel’; it gathered over 300 people. Apart from the main heroes of the evening – awardees, there were representatives of public tourist organizations, of the Parliament, of the Government, famous journalists and travelers.

The awardee in the nomination of incoming and domestic tourism was selected TC ‘Sayan Ring’. It’s worth mention that in 2005 ‘Sayan Ring’ was already praised with National Tourism Award of Y. Senkevich in the nomination of ‘The Best Interregional Tour product’.
