The Days of Kalmykia will start in Gorno-Altaisk on July 1. The delegation of Kalmykia will be headed by the president Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and will include 75 people - writers, theatre representatives, actors. This was announced in the press center of Altai republic government.

The kalmykian delegation will visit a library, a museum, an exhibition. They will show a performance in Choisky, Shebalinsky and Ust-Kansky districts. It is also planed to organize a chess contest and an excursion around Chemal district.

Besides, an agreement of cooperation between the two regions will be signed to strengthen cultural links. The document will be signed by the president of Kalmykia Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and by the head of Altai republic Alexander Berdnikov.

The presidents will also take part in the ceremony of starting the expedition "Following the Great silk way", which crossed the Mongolian border on June 22.
