A restaurant of Old Believers' cuisine "Semeiskaya gornitsa" opened in Ulan-Ude, Buryatia. The founder of this project claims she wanted to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of her ancestors and to present it to citizens and guests of the city.

The iterior is decorated according to the style of traditional Old Believers' design: in the center there is a Russian oven, not far from it there is a distaff. In red corner one can see icons, a bed made up with patchwork quilt. The space of the restaurant is organized in way to resemble the traditional house of Semeiskie as much as possible in every detail.

The meals prepared in the restaurant are the following: cabbage soup, kasha, jellied minced meat, sauerkraut, pickled vegetables and mushrooms, fish pie, caviar, home-made cheese, foxberry pies with cream and many more. All dishes are prepared according to original old recipes.

This place has already become beloved by tourist for immersion into the atmosphere of life of Old Belivers.

Semeiskie folk-bands, harmonists perfom often here, Old Believers' rites are executed on the stage.
