In February 2011 there is started the building of the railway, which will bind  Salekhard with Igarka. An old Stalin's design under the nickname "The Road of death" will revive. It got such a name because at the building of the road there died several tens of thousands of the GULAG prisoners. In the nearest future for the building and operation of the road there will be created a special company combining three big corporations as "Urals Industrial-Urals Polar", "Russian Railway" and "Gas Industry". "The Northern latitudinal way"  is planning to be finished in 2014 year and will cost to its investors for 153 billions of rubles. In prospect this design must be  extended to the East till the station Dudinka of the Krasnoyarsky region and to the West till Sabett port on the Yamal Peninsula.
