The traveling tambourine will come to Khakasia republic soon. The international action "The tambourine of the world" opening will be held on August 9 in Abakan, near the Centre of culture and folk handicraft. After that the tambourine will be taken to the villages of Khakasia accompanied by shamans.

This project was created by the Norwegian Birger Mikkelsen in 2006. The motto of the tambourine is "Stop the war between a man and nature". The main aim of the action is the world cooperation in the sake of nature, natural resources and careful treating of our planet. The base of the project is the rite of old wise men - the very new tambourine should be passed from one man to another in order to accumulate energy, wishes and hopes for those people who will then hear the sound of the tambourine.

The tambourine was traveling around Tuva during 3 months, where it helped to return the lost traditions of a careful treatment of the environment. Now it will stay in Khakasia on August 9 - 15.
