“Tourism can become a second oil pipeline for Russian Federation”, claims Radkov. During the investment forum “Sochi-2011”, he has offered not only the Russian Federation Federal Agency for Tourism to be engaged in this project, but also the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture, the Economic Development Ministry and the Regional Development Ministry.
As Mr. Radkov believes, to make this project successful it is important so synchronize the efforts of the federal centers and different regional campaigns.
On 18th of August Vladimir Putin approved the Federal Target Program “The development of inbound and outbound tourism up to 2018” allocating 332 bln rubles for this project. According to the “Vedomosti” newspaper, only 850mln rubles will be allocated for tourism development, which is, as experts say, makes any investment in this branch useless at all.
96bln rubles will go to the federal budget, 25bln to regions, and the rest will go to private investors.
