The archeological-geographical expedition will be conducted in 2012 in the area where the “Kyzyl-Kuragino” Railway will be built. All the expenses will be paid by the grant received from the Russian Geographical Society.
Mr. Shoigu said, that this expedition is the second but its incidence will be increased. Last year only 150 students took part in the excavation works. In 2012 more than 600 students from different countries will be able to feel like archaeologists. “Today we will announce the start of international competition to chose those who will participate in this huge but very interesting work. We will conduct this contest in two main directions: we will choose among students from Russian universities as well as from foreign colleges and schools, and also there will be a kind of quota for the country’s leading media to cover the course of expedition”, claimed the Minister.
He has underlined, that not only students of historical departments will be able to participate in this events but also those who are very enthusiastic about excavation works and archaeology.
