This year an ethnic-ethnographic museum will open in Katanda village of the Altai Republic. The visitors will be able to try on national costumes and taste traditional cuisine dishes, as reported by the press-centre of the republic government on Wednesday.

It is supposed that the museum will be created in the traditional Altai-style  - a wooden ail hut. In the museum there will be displayed an exposition of traditional things which Altai people use every day. There will also be stands which will tell about traditional kinds of nature management, ecological traditional of Altai people. It is considered that the museum will become a popular place for travellers who visit this region. They can learn about the history, ecological world-outlook and customs of Altai people, buy hand-made souvenirs.
