The cross-tourism year between Russia and China opens with a motor rally Beijing-Moscow. It aims at promoting car tourism and Russian destinations to Chinese visitors.
In Beijing there started the motor rally ‘Beijing-Moscow-2012’ which is to be the brightest event in the intense programme The Year of Russian tourism in China. 12 cars with the competitors – representatives of the leading Russian and China mass-media, left the capital of China on June, 5.
They will travel from Beijing via Manchuria and 18 different areas of Russian Federation. The managers of the programme point out that car driving has become an essential part of today's life, however the quality of roads leaves much to be desired. The imperfect infrastructure impacts the development of Tourism industry in Russia, as well as economic and cultural exchanges with neighbouring states, particularly China.
