The Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin charged his ministers with examining the possibility to organize the high-speed rail for “Sapsan” trains between Siberian cities. Among them are Irkutsk, Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk.

Today a trip from Novosibirsk to Irkutsk takes more than 30 hours, from Novosibirsk to Krasnoyarsk – 12 hours. It is supposed that the high-speed rail for “Sapsan” trains will save time for people.

Maximal speed of “Sapsan” train is 350 km/hour, while the speed of trains along Russian railroads now is just 250 km/hour.
