On 2nd of September Buryatia republic will hold 6th International festival of traditional Asian music "Sounds of Eurasia".

Music professors, singers folk instrument players from Russia and foregin countries will take part in this event. Accroding to organisators' opininon these peolpe are considered to be leading professionals in their countries, and their perfoming skills and masterhsip make standarts in their fields.

The first festival took place in March 2006, during which people of Buryatia were presented national Korean music. The second was devoted to Indian music. The third festival concerned ancient Chinese one. The main topic of the current event is Japanese sound art.

The main goals of "Sounds of Eurasia" are studying traditional music perfoming, musical education, estbalishing new intercultural connections between Russia and Japan and strengthening existing ones.
