On the 2nd of September Grand opening of the VII Siberian biennale festival named "Expanses (Dal')" took place. This time artists perfoming during this event will exhibit their works not only within the building of the center, but even beyond, covering city center with their art.

Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale is a unique forum of art-works within the museum context. The Biennale takes place once in each two years in Krasnoyarsk.  The Krasnoyarsk Museum Centre carries out the VIII Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale "Expanse" from September, 2nd till November, 8th, 2009.  The project is supported by Mikhail Prokhorov Fund and Administration of Krasnoyarsk region. About 70 different art-projects of Russian and foreign artists working in the stream of contemporary art will be exposed. The participants of exhibition and communication programms will try to contemplate about the meaning of "expanses", to reavel its depth and to create a multi-dimensional model of Siberian space in the world.
