Guseletovskie salty lakes in Altai region are occupied by crowds of the tourists. Romanovsky district is visited not only by local people, but also by people from other regions and even from the European part of the country. "Altaiskaya pravda" newspaper states that it is not necessary to go abroad, as Sulfatnoe lake's water components are similar to those of the Dead Sea in Israel.

The head of the district Viktor Kostenko actively supports Guseletovskie lakes as a place where it is possible to make a tourist-recreational zone. He also mentions that foreign tourist companies are very interested in such "country" style tourism in Russia. It is a chance to bring new life to the region, to its economy and general development.

Local businessmen started to make investments into the territories near the lakes, to develop service.
