For the first time in Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Orkhangelsk Oblast (Russia, time zone +4) a new celebration will take place – Day of Cold. Its purpose is to unite people, who live in the Far North and have common traditions. ‘Nothing unites people better than a celebration, and for us it is a good reason and opportunity to discuss the problems of uniting civil society of Arctic regions. This day we expect the coming of famous polar explorers, who will meet with citizens and guests at different places of the town. By the way, the major Grandfather Frost (rus. Santa Claus) from Veliky Ustyug will visit our celebration’, - mentioned the manager of Center of Arctic initiatives.
