Sergei Silkov, a driver from Omsk, is going to break the world record in reverse driving by covering the distance of 900 km in 24 hours.

He has already set up a record of reverse driving in Russia. Now he is going to set up a world record, driving for 900 km.

The prvious world record belongs to John Smith from USA. In 1996 he had driven 813 km. Sergei tried to repeat his achievment, but because of bad road quality and big amount of difficult rises and slopes he succeeded to pass only 216 km (the record of Russia).

Now the driver is eager to fullfil the plan. He has upgraded his car: turned reduction gear and made 1 forward speed and 4 reverse ones, installed comfortable sporting seat, got rid of backseat, modernized radiator.

The start of this unsual race is planned at spring 2010.
