In Mariinsk, Kemerovo region, local historians have decided to develop a new tour route for those who seek for extreme entertainment and thrilling experience. During the tour with planned name “The way of grief and sorrow” the participants can walk dressed in shackles, eat prison food and have a night in a prison cell.

The route will also include visiting the monument of victims of political repressions imprisoned in Siblag (Siberian prison camp) and walking along underground tour. Some featured objects have been destroyed and now are being restored.

Walking in shackles for 150-200 meters will allow tourists to feel themselves to be Decembrists or political prisoners during Stalin’s reign.  For the most desperate thrillseekers there will be an opportunity to spend a night in a real prison cell.
