Eternal flame is planned to be transferred from Murmansk. As it is stated, the head of Taimyr Oleg Sheremetev took part in the ceremony of setting the fire and passing the capsule with earth from hero city to the participants of international rally called “Nobody is forgotten, nothing is forgotten”, the route of which goes through other hero cities of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

After that, Sheremetev also gave two wreaths, which were thrown into water in the Barents and Kara Sea, which is the place of death for many Soviet people during the years of war.

The flame will be distributed around all the Taimyr Peninsula. On the victory day all the eternal flames in the region are supposed to be set to fire due to the flame from Murmansk.
