The largest yurt in the world was installed in ethnographic museum in Ulan-Ude, Byuratia. The diameter of the construction is about 16 metres and the area is 200 square metres. The huge yurt hosted a nomad theatre “Nuudelchin” which is supposed to give concerts there in the nearest time. The yurt can seat 150 visitors.

Up to present time the largest yurt in the world was the one on the south shore of Issyk-Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan. Its diameter is 12,9 metres.
