“The world of nomads” is a relative name of tourist project made together with the representatives of Tuva and Krasnoyarsk Region. The project is planned to be started this summer. It is the first tourist product in Tuva.

The planned project is considered to combine features of ecological and educational tourism.

Scientists believe that the fortress used to be a summer residence of Eltemish Bilge-khagan, who was a ruler ancient Uyghur peoples. He went there from the territory of modern Mongolia. The local surroundings attracted the ruler not only by its amenities, but also by the abundance of animals and hot springs, where his warriors could cure their wounds. Arzhaan Tarys as it is called is in Tuvinian language is rather popular with local people. Every year it is visited by 3 thousand people.

One of the ancient legends provided the organizers of the tour with some interesting details, which were taken into consideration and now can add a colour of bright adventure and raid of extreme to the project. As Uyghur people, today’s tourists will reach Tere-Khol Lake by horse. The rout starts from the upper reaches of the Balyktyg River, which is a river head of the Yenisey River.

On their way tourist will have a chance to watch with their own eyes shepherds, grazing their cattle in the valley of the river. It is a museum of ethnography in the open air not being touched by modern civilization, as it is not easily reached even by off-road vehicle. Traditions of local nomads, their items of everyday life such as yurt-houses made of felt or interior of yurts were preserved there during centuries up to present time.
