From 25, June on the bank of the Dudinka River ethno-nomad camp “Nomadism of Taimyr” starts its work. In the territory of ethno-nomad camp five traditional yurts called “chum” will be located. These chums are supposed to help tourists to become familiar with culture of five native peoples of the region.

For visitors of the improvised camp an entertaining program is ready. Everybody who wants has a chance to take part in the rite of “purification” of Dolgan, Evenk, Nenets and Nganasan peoples. Representatives of native peoples will carry out workshops in making souvenirs of beads, fur, skin, bone of deer and tusk of mammoth and also workshops in making traditional cloths, playing drums and finally cooking traditional cuisine.

There will be competitions in national kinds of sport and in the framework of concert program visitors can listen to local folk groups, such as “Kheiro”, “Suluskan”, “Araduoi” and “Dentadie”.

In the opening ceremony of the ethno-nomad camp the head of Taymyr Okrug Sergey Baturin, the head of the administration of the territory Oleg Sheremetiev and the mayor of Dudinka Aleksey Diachenko take part.

Visitors will be received in the camp on 25-26, June.
