In museum of nature in Buryatia Republic a unique exhibition “Era of dinosaurs” will be held organized together with Paleontological centre of Mongolia.

Every year in the territory of Mongolia in the south part, where Gobi Dessert is located, scientists discover unique finds – skeletons of dinosaurs. These finds differ from others by its diversity and good condition.

A new exhibition will give possibility for visitors to see genuine skeletons of seven kinds of dinosaurs. The largest one is tarbozavr, it is a huge predator, which lived 70-65 mln years  ago in the territory of today’s Mongolia, Russia and China. Its height is 5,5 m, length – 12m. Also the collection of the museum contains a skeleton of gallimim with height 2 m and length 3 m. Paleontologists consider it was the fastest dinosaur of the era it lived. Besides, the visitors will have a chance to watch with their own eyes the skeletons of gomalotsefal, iagatseratops and mononikus. The last was thought to be a bird without wings by scientists.

The exhibition will open 2, July.
