Irkutsk will be celebrating its 350^th anniversary from June to September. Irkutsk like many other Siberian cities was founded like a stockaded town in 1661. The city started the preparation to its birthday in 2008. And still there are lots of different projects that are to be done.

Those who are planning to visit Irkutsk this summer will see new improved quay of Angara river. There is also planning to be built a special area where houses with historic value are going to be reconstructed or rebuilt. Visitors will find there different workshops, souvenir shops and restaurants, hotels, art galleries.

And if you want to visit Irkutsk in September you will have a chance to see an interactive museum of Decembrists in a real estate of Decembrist Sergey Trubetskoy.
