Russia and the United Kingdom in the near future will hold expert consultations on the facilitation of visa regime for certain categories of citizens. "The agreement to hold expert consultations through the relevant departments of two countries is achieved", - said the head of economic department of the Russian embassy in London, Karen Malayan, speaking at a reception at the Russian Embassy, the occasion of the London World tourism exhibition World Travel Market (WTM).

Visa issues remain one of the barriers to more active development of mutual tourism between two countries. Nevertheless, Russia and Britain are trying to find different ways of interaction in this sphere. In particular, during the WTM Deputy Head of Tourism Federal Agency Alexander Radkov met with representatives of the British national tourist organization Visit Britain. "We discussed the issues coming out soon on an agreement to expand cooperation", - the diplomat noted.

At the reception, which was organized by Intourist, presentations of Kazan as the third capital of Russia's, new tourism projects and consistently popular among British people Saint Petersburg also were held.
